Cottage

Dean, the proprietor made a humble but adequate cabin available to us as we had to wait overnight for the ferry on our way to the Island. We didn’t see him before we had to run off to catch the boat so we did not have time to pay him for our night’s stay.
Not a problem. We called to arrange payment. He graciously said, ‘whenever you get a chance, drop a cheque in the mail or stop in on your way back.
We did stop in 2 weeks later. This time he made available a beautiful, nicely appointed fully equipped modern cabin to us at a rate we are pleased to say was modest and appreciated.

Would stay here all summer if we didn’t have our own place across the lake.

Nice cabin with excellent service. Great service..ease of booking, checking in and checking out. I would use Cedar Escape Cottages again for sure. Highly recommend them!!!!

We stayed for two nights at the end of July and we were very pleased with our cottage and how close it was to everything. It was less than a two minute walk to the Marina, restaurants and ferry bookings. The sunsets by the lake were gorgeous and also just a couple of minutes away. The cottage was clean cozy and comfortable and the gas BBQ was very convenient. We will definitely stay there again.

Good location. We stayed in the petite cottage. Check in check out was very easy. Dean is very quick responsive and very accomodative. It was over all pleasant stay. 2mins walk to town center. Well equipped Kitchen.

A great house for great things

Very close to everything in Tobermory (water, hikes, national parks, little tub harbour).

We stayed in cottage 3 and it was one of the nicest little cottages I've ever rented. Recently remodelled, it had hard wood floor, a full kitchen, a BBQ pit, and 3 beds! TV with satellite, fans, heaters, a Newley remodelled 3 piece bathroom, just beautiful.

Colleen the owner is very nice and extremely fair with regards to the rates and rules of the cottage.

I would recommend booking here to anyone if you're lucky enough to find a spot. This place fills up quick!! Will definitely return!!

Great experience friendly manager

We really loved our stay ,We felt relaxed and accommodated in a relaxing atmosphere. The place was extremely clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. The lovely cottage is conveniently located to access local sites and access to the ferry is just up the road. It was well worth the long trip from Ottawa. Thank you to the hosts for making our stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. We look forward to coming back again in the near future.

Hoareau was really accomodative, I ask for 22 people to him. And he mention me about the church, grande, petite and chapel cottage. Which is combined together. the petite cottage was only one door ahead of the grande cottage. We negotiate the price and he really surprised me what we deal with. What you've seen in the picture was totally different. The place is really tidy and clean although there's no cleaning fee but you're responsible to clean up everything. We are so happy and we would like to come back again!!!! Thumbsup!!

Wow. The church cottage and chapel cottage are AMAZING. Great for a group, Dive Kawartha brought a group of diver up for the weekend and stayed here in the two cottages combined to one big one. Huge space with lots of beds, a great big table for groups, a pool table and an indoor swing. 😎

Dean was wonderful and very accommodating. The location was perfect, just across the street from Divers Den - the best dive operation in the area.

We will definitely be back to this cottage

Small place with quick service and a great smile. The chicken sandwiches were filling and quite delicious. Cannot stop thinking about their french fries. Crispy yet very less oily and tasty. Chicken strips were great too. Good portion size as well. They have cozy dine in area. Would love to visit them again.

It was past lunch time and we were all very hungry so we tried to find a place with no line up, we came here because of the high google reviews and it’s definitely not disappointing!
Their burgers are all freshly made and the buns are toasted which made the burger tastes even more superior. Their fries are just right and it’s super tasty. It was a sunny day so their shaded patio is a bonus. They also have a few tables without any shade. The place looks clean and the menu is reasonably priced, highly recommended!!!!

My wife found the Snack Shack online. We were looking for a more affordable option for lunch and Snack Shack fit the bill. They also had amazing reviews. My kids had a cheese burger and fries and chicken strips while I had the chicken sandwich with a mildly hot sauce. It was delicious!!! So glad we found out about them and i hope more people discover this little gem.

My wife and I had lunch at the snack shack and the food was delicious. Everything is made fresh everyday even the baked goods that are new this year to the menu AND the coffee menu. The staff are very friendly as well. Lots of outdoor seating. The falafels are delicious too. They also have several flavors of ice cream to choose from

Snack shack is one of the best place to eat in Tobermory! Snack shack also has one of the best poutines I’ve tried in Ontario! The service was extremely friendly and the pricing is fair. Will be going back next time I’m in Tobermory!

Oh mannnnnn, the fries!! An unbelievable level of crisp, made the poutine that much more epic and the cheese smashburger was fantastic too! Don't sleep on this gem, love the outdoor seating area too

Love this place! The lady that is working here is the epitome of what customer service should be like- so warm and welcoming. On this food truck you can get burgers, hot dogs, samosas, doubles on weekends only and ice cream! The burgers and samosas I got were delicious!

What can I say... Tobermory's nicest guy has opened a snack shack! Open late fair price especially for the area great tasting stuff!!! Fun atmosphere with little benches under the shade of cedar trees. Just a great place to walk up and grab lunch! Look out for weekend specials this guy can realy rock out some ethnic foods!!! :)

Good fast food location with free parking. There are around 8 tables with 5 of them covered by a patio.

Hours are 8:00am to 9:00pm "most days" according to the staff, and will be open 7 days during peak visitor season.

Burgers were delicious 10/10, service was quick and friendly. Fries were good but a bit greasy.

The tables were a bit dirty with food crumbs, would be nice if they left out something for you to wipe down the table with before sitting.

It was a perfect snack shack (fast food from a trailer), one of the best poutines I’ve had. The price was pretty good for a tourist area. The area was well kept, nice wooden seating area, nice plants. Everyone was full but we didn’t leave a bite.

When ever I go to Tobermory and that is alot I make it a destination stop to go to the Shack. I absolutely love the atmosphere and staff. So friendly and welcoming makes me feel like part of the family. Best cheese burger and fries I have ever had. If your ever I nthe area you should check it out 1000/10

I recently visited Snack Shack in Tobermory and had an incredible experience. I ordered the halal beef cheeseburger and onion rings, and both were absolutely amazing and incredibly fresh. The flavors were spot on, and you could tell the ingredients were high quality.

I also had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Dean. He was super friendly and made the visit even more enjoyable. It's clear that Dean and his team are passionate about what they do, and it really shows in the food and service.

I highly recommend Snack Shack to anyone visiting Tobermory. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a friendly conversation, this place has it all. I'll definitely be back and thank you for the service Dean.

Great food and absolute best choice for all Veg lovers who are looking for yummy food. You need to hit this restaurant for tasty French fries, Indian Samosa with Sweet chilly sauce, Falafel, Aloo tikki Chaat and Onion Rings. Highly recommended.

I usually do not share my experiences but in that case i wanted to congratulate the owners for their kidness and their professionalism. My family and I we felt very welcomed. We have been there twice time and they really knows how to really take care of customers. I do not believe any of other bad comment ( i just think it is people with bad intention )/and i will sure come back again.

If youre a desi looking for halal food thats both fresh, crispy and yummy with a quick service, this is your place! We wanted to grab a quick bite and ended up eating there 2 days in a row. Cheeseburgers are a must have! And if you love onion rings as much as I do, this is one of the very few places that does it right, spicy and crispy!

Very friendly and professional person. I went on a weekday, I was not able to try their Indian specialty on the weekend. Portions were adequate, quality was great. Had a great conversation with the owner, very passionate on what he sells. Customised food according to needs, will certainly recommend. We had Falafel Bowl, Samosa and Jalapeño Poppers !!

I recently visited the Snack Shake food truck and was thoroughly impressed! I tried both the vegan Falafel wrap and the vegan Falafel bowl, both without onion and garlic, and they were absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and satisfying, proving that you don't need onion and garlic to make a great meal. The open-air ambience adds to the experience, making it a must-visit spot. Highly recommend!
